Map of the Ming Dynasty

The Ming Dynasty (1368 AD – 1644 AD) was the last dynasty ruled by Han-Chinese in China's history. Its founder was Zhu Yuanzhang (Emperor Hongwu), the third of the only three peasants ever to become an emperor in China. During this period, Chinese economy, culture, and science were rapidly developed. However, internal power struggles and incompetent reigns led to the end of the Ming Dynasty. Meanwhile, the Manchu began to attack Chinese cities and eventually gained control over China in 1644.

The Ming Dynasty Map indicates a detailed map of the Ming Dynasty with political boundaries, provincial borders, provincial names, provincial capitals and capitals of smaller regional administrative areas.
