The Tang Dynasty (618 AD – 907 AD) is considered to be the most prosperous historical period in Chinese history and as well as the world's most powerful and thriving state at that time. There are mainly two glorious period in the Tang Dynasty. The first glorious period was during the reign of Emperor Taizong while the second period was during Emperor Xuanzong's reign. The economy, culture, politics, and military strength reached an unparalleled level during this time. After the rebellion of An and Shi, the Tang Empire was deeply weakened and was on the wane.
