Map of the Three Kingdoms Period

The Three Kingdoms Period (220 AD – 280 AD) generally refers to the period between the foundation of the Kingdom of Wei in 220 and the collapse of the Kingdom of Wu in 280. The three kingdoms were the Kingdom of Wei (220 AD – 265 AD), the Kingdom of Shu (221 AD – 263 AD), and the Kingdom of Wu (222 AD – 280 AD). During this period, constant battles among the three kingdoms were countless, making the period one of the most unpeaceful times in Chinese history.
