Map of the Warring States Period

The Warring States Period (475 BC – 221 BC) is considered to be the second part of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, following the Spring and Autumn Period. It is a time when vassal states of Zhou Dynasty continued to annex weaker ones and consolidated their rule. At last, seven states rose to prominence. They were Qi, Chu, Yan, Zhao, Han, Wei, Qin, literally knows as "the Seven Powers of the Warring States".
