Location and topography of Beihai
Located on the Beibu Gulf in the south of Guangxi Province, on the southwestern coast of China, Beihai faces Southeast Asia across the sea with southwest China behind, and borders Guangdong, Hainan, Macao, Hong Kong and Vietnam by land and sea.

Beihai has a nice subtropical marine monsoon climate with an annual average temperature of 73ºF (about 23ºC) while the highest is 99ºF (about 37ºC) and the lowest is 36ºF (about 2ºC).
Transportation in Beihai
By Air
Beihai Fucheng Airport is 15 miles (about 24 km) from Beihai proper. It has regular flights to many major cities in China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Xian and Guangzhou.
By Train
The one and only train station is located in the city center, and it only operates trains to Nanning which means you should make a transfer at Nanning if going Beihai by train.
By Bus
Beihai’s highways extend to all directions. There are plans for the following Beihai-Nanning Route, Beihai-Guilin Route, Beihai-Zhanjiang Route, Beihai-Chongqing Route, and Guilin-Nanning-Beihai Route.
By Water
Located on the Beibu Gulf and at the cener between southwest Hainan and Southeast Asia, Beihai is convenience in waterway transportation. Beihai Harbor is considered to be one of the most convenient seaports in southwest China and has trade relation with more than 216 ports in and around 98 countries.
