Nanning - Capital City of Guangxi

Location and Topography of Nanning

Situated in the southwest of Guangxi province, Nanning borders Vietnam, and is neighbor to Guangzhou, close to Hong Kong and Macau, and faces Southeast Asia with a total area of over 22,293 square kilometers.

Nanning is located in a hilly basin with elevations between 70 and 500 m above sea-level. Qingxiu Mountain dominates the southern part of town. The water resource is also plentiful with Yongding River through the city. The waters and mountains help Nanning become the top tourist destination and allure more and more visitors both home and abroad.

Railways in Nanning

Nanning Railway Station in located in the center of the downtown with many routes directly to the major cities in China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and much more. Besides, because being close to the Vietnam, there is the railway to Dongdang City in Vietnam.

Highways in Nanning

Guilin-Beihai Highway is the longest provincial highway in China traverses Nanning and brings tourists to Fangchenggang, Baise, Yulin and other provincial cities. National highways connect Nanning with Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Chengdu, Guiyang and Kunming etc.

Airways in Nanning

Nanning Wuxu International Airport is located in Wuxu County, owning 26 scheduled airlines mostly to cities in southern and western China, including Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Shantou, Xiamen, Kunming, Chengdu, Guiyang, Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan as well as Beijing and Xian.
