Zhenzhou - capital city of Henan Province

As the capital and hub of Henan's politic, economy, culture and transport, Zhengzhou city is located in the central China with the Yellow River in the north and Huang-huai Plain in the south. Location and Topography of Zhengzhou

Zhengzhou is located in the middle of China so as to be a transportation hub. Situated just north of Henan Province center and south of the Yellow River, it borders Luoyang to the west, Jiaozuo to the northwest, Xinxiang to the northeast, Kaifeng to the east, Xuchang to the southeast, and Pingdingshan to the southwest.

Zhengzhou is at the crossing point of the north-south route skirting the Taihang Mountains and the mountains of western Henan and the east-west route along the southern bank of the Yellow River.

Zhengzhou enjoys a warm temperate continental climate with an annual average temperature being about 14.3 degree Celsius. The climate is comfortable with bright sunshine and clear distinct four seasons. The hottest month is July with an average temperature of about 27.3 degree Celsius, while the coldest month is cold though seldom snowy. Summer is the rainy season, and autumn is usually sunny and with long daytimes and is the best season for have your tour plan. Zhengzhou Railway Station, sitting in the center of Zhengzhou, is the junction of two major railway lines, those of Jing - Guang (Beijing to Guangzhou) and Long - Hai (Lanzhou to Lianyungang). As one of the largest passenger transport stations in China, you can travel to most Chinese cities from Zhengzhou Railway Station. Usually, passengers can book tickets up to 10 day prior to your departure date at commissioned ticket offices; the CNY5 handling charge is your responsibility.
