6 Days Tibet Switzerland View Tour (CTM-T-06)
Day 1
Taking the flight into Tibet upon your arrival. Local guide will meet you and transfer you to Lhasa. On the way, you can enjoy the heart-beating highland view along the Yarlong Tsangpo River ( the longest river in Tibet). The rest time is free for you to relax and to be acclimatized to high altitude.

Day 2
The first day of sightseeing starts from Lhasa's cardinal landmark - Potala Palace, a structure of massive portions. Its towering image already appearing on various occasions, but your first sight of the Potala will still be an awe-inspiring moment. It takes at least a good 2-hour to visit those rooms, halls and chapels.
In the afternoon, you will drop a visit of the JokhangTemple, the spiritual center of Tibet. Everyday, pilgrims from every corner of Tibet trek a long distance to the temple. The temple is the product of Han, Tibetan and Nepalese architectural techniques. Then you will visit Barkhor Street, the oldest street in a very traditional city in Tibet.

Day 3
About 8km west of central Lhasa is the Drepung Monastery, once world's largest monastery with about 10,000 monks. This day's sightseeing begins with these white monastic buildings piled up on the hillside. Walking up to the hill is a pleasant thing, an easy break from the solemn ambience inside the halls and chapels. At the plat roof of hillside, you can have very good views of the whole Lhasa city and the distant mountains.
Drepung is one of Lhasa's two great Gelugpa monasteries, the other is Sera. Around 5km north of central Lhasa, Sera Monastery may not be as grandiose as Drepung, but is more serene surrounded by many small temples. The "Buddhism Scriptures Debating" in Sera is very famous.

Day 4
Drive about one and half hour to get to Gandan Monastery for a visit. It is the 1st Gelugpa monastery. After visit, onward to Basum-tso Lake for 370 km on a well paved road, taking 5 hours. Basum-tso Lake, 3,500 meters above sea level, originates from Nyching Tanglha Mountain and is a dozen kilometers long. Snow-covered mountains, glaciers and tress are reflected upon the lake’s rippled surface. There are small islands in the middle of the lake with Lamaist temples built upon them.

Day 5
Visit Basumtso Lake and enjoy the beautiful views there in the whole morning. And then leave for Bayi Town, the capital of Nyingchi area, taking a 2-hour drive. Upon arrival there, visit a huge cypress tree of over thousand years old. Rest time you can stroll in the city for the modern city in Eastern Tibet.

Day 6
Today we will drive back to Lhasa. Rest time is free till your personal guide meets and escorts you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
