The map of the Ming Tombs below clearly shows the overall layout of the imperial tombs of the thirteen Ming emperors. The 13 Ming Dynasty Tombs are located within Changping District, about 60 kilometers north of urban Beijing. The site of these imperial tombs was carefully chosen according to Feng Shui principles. All the thirteen Ming Tombs scatter on the southern slope of Mount Taishou.
