Lying to the south of Wuyishan City of Fujian Province, Mount Wuyi Scenic Area is famous for its natural conservation of a large number of ancient plant species, wild animals and retiles, many of which are peculiar and unique to China. In the scenic area, the most attractive sceneries include the Wuyi Canyon, 14 kilometers long with a drop of 150 meters along its length, Mount Longjing, on the southeast of Mount Wuyi, and Qiyu Hall. Besides these natural wonders, tourists also can enjoy the Ancient Xiamei Folk Buildings, located 12 kilometers southeast of Wuyishan City, and Xiamei village is a famous tourist destination of the area.
