Hong Kong Disneyland Resort Maps & Guide
The Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, built by the Government of Hong Kong and the Walt Disney Company, was officially opened on September 12, 2005, and is the world's smallest Disneyland resort, consisting of the Hong Kong Disneyland theme park, two hotels (Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Hollywood Hotel), and retail, dining and entertainment facilities stretching over 1.3 square kilometers on Lantau Island. It is the second project of the Walt Disney Company's extension into Asia after the Tokyo Disney Resort.

Hong Kong Disneyland is the first theme park inside the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and the fifth Disneyland style park. Disney attempted to avoid problems of cultural backlash by attempting to incorporate Chinese culture, customs, and traditions when designing and building the resort, including adherence to the rules of Feng Shui. The park consists of four themed lands similar to other Disneyland parks: Main Street, U.S.A, Fantasyland, Adventureland and Tomorrowland. In 2014, Hong Kong Disneyland will include a total of seven themed lands with the addition of Grizzly Trail, Mystic Point and Toy Story Land, which are announced for the expansion of Hong Kong Disneyland. The first new themed land is expected to open in late 2011.

Main Street, U.S.A
Main Street, U.S.A, is the first "themed land" inside the entrance of the may Magic Kingdom-style parks run by the Walt Disney Company around the world. Entering the Main Street of Hong Kong Disneyland Park, you will be amazed by the delicate buildings, dim gas lamp and Paddy Wagon passing by. Antique taxicabs, Disneyland Railroad and the City Hall takes you back to America of the early 20th century. Besides, there are plenty of Chinese elements here too, such as the Chinese tables in the restaurants, inns, and bars. The main attractions include the Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto. With the image of Cartoon heroine Mulan everywhere, you will have the feeling that Mulan is really at home now. Market House Bakery and Main Street Corner Café are also good places for you to enjoy.
Adventureland is themed to resemble the remote jungles in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, desert islands, South America, and the South Pacific. "To create a land that would make this dream reality", said Walt Disney, "we pictured ourselves far from civilization, in the remote jungles of Asia and Africa". Hong Kong Disneyland's Adventureland is the biggest among all Disney parks and features a large island area home to Tarzan's Treehouse, which is circled by the Jungle Cruise, much like the Rivers of America in most Magic Kingdom-style parks' Frontierland area. It is also home to the "Festival of the Lion King"show. The main tourist attractions include the Festival of the Lion King, Tarzan's Treehouse, Jungle River Cruise and Liki Tikis. Here, River View Café, a table service restaurant, offers Chinese family dishes, and Tahitian Terrace, quick service restaurant, offers Chinese BBQ, soup noodle, etc. Tourists can buy a jungle leaf in Professor Porter's Trading Post as a keepsake.
Fantasyland is one of the "themed lands" at the many Magic Kingdom-style parks run by the Walt Disney Company around the world. Each Fantasyland has a castle as well as several gentle rides themed after Disney movies. You must have been touched by Cinderella's extraordinary story and Winnie the Pooh's adventures in the forest, and wanted to be a princess such as Snow White or Sleeping Beauty. Here, in Fantasyland, you can experience the real ones: Cinderella Carrousel, many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Sword in the Stone, Mad Hatter Tea Cups, Sleeping Beauty Castle, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Snow White Grotto. The most fantastic place must be The Golden Mickeys at Disney's Storybook Theater. Adapting all the Disney classics into a 25-minute musical drama, mixing acrobatics and special effects, this will make you stop blinking. In the theater, Tarzan swings quickly on the rigging, just like the fan on the ceiling. When The Little Mermaid Ariel appears, the whole theater is submerged by bubbles descending from the ceiling; you really feel that you are at sea. Mulan practicing martial arts and traditional flag dances show the combination of eastern and western culture.
The newest Tomorrowland of Disneyland is the Hong Kong one, like the newer generations of the American Tomorrowlands. Hong Kong's version features an emphasis on metallic trim, with lots of blue and purple hues. The main tourist attractions include Autopia, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Orbitron, Space Mountain, Stitch Encounter, UFO Zone. You can scream in Space Mountain by siting the exciting roller coaster, and fly in your space capsule and flight against the aliens with your space gun in Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. After space travelling, take a break at Starliner Diner and Comet Café to enjoy some "earth" cuisine that you cannot taste in outer space. Besides, Space Traders and Star Command Suppliers will give you a chance to do some space shopping.
