Hong Kong Nightlife & Entertainment Guide

There is the most vibrant nightlife in Hong Kong, and you will never have the reasons to refuse to join in. A lot of things can be done, such as taking a luxury night cruise over Victoria Harbor, visiting pubs, bars, nightclubs, or strolling in the bubbling streets with the locals.

Hong Kong Nightlife, Entertainment

There are three districts in Hong Kong that are famous for their entertainment spots. The first is Central where most expatriates and trendy locals go to after work, especially in the areas of Lan Kwai Fong. The second in Wan Chai, which include nearby Causeway Bay with its many bars and discos that open till dawn. The third is Tsim Tsa Tsui in Kowloon where there is a district difference between bars exclusively for locals and those that appeal more to tourists.

Night Touring

Lei Yue Mun Seafood Village Dinner Cruise, a wonderful 5-hour trio at dusk with the flag loweing ceremony at the Golden Bauhinia Square, is strongly recommended. Tourists can see Hong Kong on the runway of the old Kai Tak Airport and shop in the Temple Street Open Market after the seafood banquet.

Star Ferry's Harbor Tour with a Symphony of Lights, Pearl of the Orient Dinner Cruise, and Tsing Ma Night Cruise offer memorable sights as well. Land Stroll is a most breathtaking one: a cable ride to the Victoria Peak, where you get spectacular views.

Bars and Pubs

Felix at the 28/F of Peninsula Hotel and Sky Lounge in Sheraton Hotels are the most recommended bars for appreciating the night view of Victoria Bay.

Most bars and pubs in Hong Kong are largely distributed in east Tsim Sha Tsui, Lan Kwai Fong and Wan Chai, among which Lan Kwai Fong is the most favorite, and becomes the icon of nightlife.

A bustling array of restaurants, eateries, pubs and bars makes up the Hong Kong's trendiest nightlife area. Beer, alcohol and wine from a myriad of countries could be enjoyed here accompanied by chess, dart and music band. Locals come here to relaxing and socializing while tourists sample the unique and delightful Hong Kong's nightlife.

Nightclub

There are two types of nightclubs in Hong Kong: western and Chinese for catering to foreign tourists and locals.

Cinemas

Hong Kong is the world's third largest film producer. More than 100 cinemas screen the latest films from the world. Watching films in cinemas like JP Causeway Bay is an ideal choice for relaxation after dining and shopping.
