Shanghai Pudong International Airport, one of China's most famous and important airports and covering an area of more than 40 square kilometers, is located in Pudong New District, about 30 kilometers away from Shanghai downtown area and about 40 kilometers away from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport. It boasts a main terminal building and two terminal concourses both of which are connected by two passageways for easy access, and there are almost 106 lines flying in and out of Shanghai to 62 domestic cities and 73 international areas. The passengers can reach the airport by Puding Airport Shuttle Buses, Maglev Train, or Taxi, and it is quite convenient to get there. There are ten airport bus lines handling transfers from Pudong International Airport to the city center.
Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, the first civilian airport in Shanghai, is located in the western outskirts of Shanghai, about 13 kilometers from downtown area. With 15 waiting halls, 18 VIP lounges, 15 baggage transfer belts, two terminals, it has 91 airlines currently flying to both domestic and international cities. The passengers can take the Hongqiao Airport Shuttle Bus, taxi, or the Subway Line 2 getting there.
