Shanghai to Nanjing - Distance, Buses & Trains Routes

The distance between Nanjing and Shanghai is about 300 kilometers, and you will pass Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhou from Shanghai to Nanjing.

Tourists can choose the top two ways to travel from Shanghai to Nanjing.

1. By Bus

There is no direct bus from Shanghai to Nanjing, and the tourists have to transit in the Hong Qiao Airport which can be reached by taking the Airport Bus Route 1 costing 22 RMB. After arriving in Hong Qiao Airport, you can take the bus to Nanjing at the same bus stop of the Airport Bus Route No. 1 costing about 150RMB.

2. By Train

The trains from Shanghai to Nanjing are frequent, and there are 53 trains leaving from Shanghai to Nanjing every single day, so, generally, there is one train every half an hour.

You can take the Airport Bus Route No.5 to Shanghai Railway Station, costing 18 RMB, then, buy train tickets there.
