Turpan, located in the Turpan Depression of Xinjiang Province, the lowest-elevation anywhere in China, is an important city along the ancient Silk Road and considered to be the hub between Xinjiang and the eastern part of China. Recently, it has become a tourist hot spot of Xinjiang with its unique landscape, abundant historical relics, and fertile farmland. Turpan is rich in high-quality grapes of many kinds, known as the Hometown of grapes. Lying to the northeast of Turpan, Grape Valley is a peaceful heaven and a welcoming place for visitors. Besides, Ancient City of Gaochang and Jiaohe, Karez System, and Flaming Mountain are also attractive.
