8 Days Yunnan Discovery Tour with Shangri-la Tour (CTM-YN-08A)

Day 1 arrive in Kunming

Upon your arrival in Kunming City, our tour guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is free rest or to explore the neighborhood as you wish.

Day 2 Kunming

After breakfast you will be driven to Lunan County (90km away from Kunming City) to visit Kunming’s famous Stone Forest, an exposed bed of limestone spires weathered and split into intriguing clusters. Afternoon, you will visit Bamboo Monastery, the most famous temple of Kunming which is famous for its Arhat statues. Then visit Green Lake Park, picturesque park in downtown Kunming City.

Day 3 Kunming / Dali

This morning, you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to Dali. After a short rest you will take a cruise on the picturesque Erhai Lake, and then pay a visit to a Bai ethnic minority village. Afternoon you will visit Dali Ancient Town and Dali Three Pagodas.

 

Day 4 Dali / Lijiang

After breakfast, you will be driven to Lijiang City (about 3 hours drive). Afternoon you will visit the Lijiang Ancient Town and the Lion Hill inside of the ancient town.

Day 5 Lijiang

Today you will be driven to beautiful Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Then pay a visit to the Baisha Fresco. Later you will be driven back to Lijiang City where you will visit the Black Dragon Pool Park and Museum of Naxi Dongba Culture.

Day 6 Lijiang / Shangri-la

In the Morning you will be driven to Shigu Town to view the First Bent of Yangtze River, Then visit the deepest gorge in the world – Tiger Leaping Gorge. After the tour you will be driven to Shangri-la.

 

Day 7 Shangri-la

On this day you will fist visit Bitahai and Shudu Lakes, followed by a visit to the Songzanlin Monastery, the largest Tibetan Buddhist lamasery in Yunnan Province

 

Day 8 Shangri-la / Kunming

Today you will be free until your tour guide escorts you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
